The poor condition of the altarpiece, largely because of wood boring insects, required work to recover the elements making up the composition.

The project was carried out after a thorough analysis which included radiographic procedures. Highlights included actions such as the setting and settling of the polychromy, fungicide and insecticide treatments and chromatic reintegration.
