Compliance
Information Channel
The Cabildo Catedral de Córdoba (the Cathedral Chapter of Córdoba), in line with its commitment to regulatory compliance, is implementing a Criminal Compliance System (or criminal compliance program). A fundamental part of this System is the communication Channel or internal information Channel (as referred to in Spanish Law 2/2023, of February 20, regulating the protection of persons who report regulatory infringements and the fight against corruption). Through this tool, circumstances that may represent the materialisation of a criminal risk for the Chapter, as well as regulatory breaches that may occur within it, can be communicated in good faith and on the basis of reasonable evidence. Likewise, through the channel, informants may bring their doubts or concerns to the attention of the Chapter. With the aim of facilitating contact and ensuring the anonymity of the identity of the people who use these communication channels, a specific computer channel has been created, which can be accessed through the Information Channel.
Individuals who wish to submit the report or communication anonymously must bear in mind that when completing the form, a web address and a code will appear, through which they can track the processing of their communication. It is essential that they save both data, as otherwise there will be no possible way for them to access its processing, and the Chapter will not be able to contact them to inform them due to the anonymisation. The tracking link will also appear to those reporters who have chosen not to file an anonymous report (by providing their name and email address) but they do not need to save it because an electronic message with the link will be sent to them.
For all communications received, regardless of the means used, confidentiality is guaranteed (even in non-anonymous communications) regarding the identity of the informant and any third party mentioned in the communication, and the actions carried out in its management and processing, as well as data protection, preventing access by unauthorised personnel.
It goes without saying that any type of reprisal is prohibited within the Chapter, and the necessary measures will be taken to protect those members or third parties who make good faith communications based on reasonable evidence through these communication channels. Despite this, it is advised that those bad faith reporters who present false reports or information intended solely to undermine the reputation of the Chapter or any of its members, employees, or volunteers will be subject to the corresponding disciplinary procedures, with the organisation reserving the right to take appropriate legal action.
Finally, informants are advised that they may use the external information channels with the competent authorities (the Independent Whistleblower Protection Authority, A.A.I., or equivalent in the Autonomous Community) and, where applicable, with the institutions, bodies, or agencies of the European Union.
